Rose has three children, aged one, five and six. At 33 weeks pregnant with another little girl, Rose was smoking 20 cigarettes a day.
Rose was referred to Yorkshire Smokefree Wakefield, where she set her quit smoking date and began using nicotine patches. She found the weekly support from her stop smoking advisor helped her to remain smoke free. She also joined the personal finance incentive scheme, receiving shopping vouchers for every month that she continued to quit. She found the vouchers helpful, and bought a baby bouncer and baby equipment.
Rose’s little girl Tillie Ann is 15 weeks old now, and along with her 1 year old and her other two children she is kept busy. Staying healthy is important, and she would recommend quitting with the support of the smokefree service to others.
