Pontefract Hospital has an Urgent Treatment Centre, which can help you with urgent, non-life threatening illness or injury 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The service is run by GPs and specialist nurses and offers tests and treatment for people who turn up without an appointment, and for those who book through NHS 111.

If someone turns up at Pontefract UTC with a life-threatening illness, they will be stabilised and transferred by ambulance to Pinderfields or another hospital.
