This year’s meeting will be held at Hemsworth Community Centre, Bullenshaw Road, on Tuesday 9 July.

The AGM is an opportunity for staff, partners, governing body and local people to come together to celebrate the work we’ve done in the last year to improve care services, to find out about the challenges for our district, and how we are transforming the way we work with local communities and partners to improve the health of our local population.

Doors will open from 5.30pm, with a chance for guests to browse the CCG ‘marketplace’ and chat to staff about some of our work.

The meeting will begin at 6pm and feature presentations from Chief Officer, Jo Webster, and new Clinical Chair Dr Adam Sheppard, about our achievements and challenges over the last 12 months.

Chief Finance Officer, Jonathan Webb, will provide a financial review of our year, and the Annual Report and Accounts will also be available.

After the presentations, guests will be able to direct questions to the executive team.

Guests will also hear presentations from Anna Hartley, Director of Public Health for Wakefield, and Dominic Blaydon, Associate Director for Commissioning and Integrated Primary Care.

Anna will talk about some of the wider factors that have an impact on people’s health and wellbeing in Wakefield and Dominic will describe how ‘Primary Care Homes’ are working with communities across our district to respond directly to their local needs.

The meeting is a public event and open to all, so there’s no need to book your place. However if you have any accessibility requirements that we need to be aware of then please let us know.

If you would like to submit a question to the executive team in advance, or would like to find out more about the Annual General Meeting, please contact the Communications Team on press.officewakefieldccg.nhsuk or 01924 317 684.
