Have your say on local Stroke Services

Across West Yorkshire and Harrogate, health and care services are working together to look at ensuring stroke services are fit for the future.

Before decisions are made on the future of stroke services, regional Healthwatch have been asked to find out what people think about the services that are currently provided and what would be important to them now and in the future should they have a stroke, or care for someone who has.

This covers the whole stroke pathway from prevention, the first 72 hrs of care, through to rehabilitation and community support.

This engagement is running for six weeks, starting on Wednesday 1st February 2017 and closes on Wednesday 15th March 2017.

We are contacting our local voluntary and community organisations and groups to arrange outreach sessions with them; we will be surveying people at our hospitals; and we are holding an event for representatives from the voluntary and community sector to talk to lead clinicians about stroke services and to provide an opportunity for them to take part in the discussions.

You can fill the survey in online here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WYStrokeServices

Please also contact us on enquiries@healthwatchwakefield.co.uk or call 01924 787379 if you would like to arrange an outreach session with your group or if you would like to send a representative to our event on Tuesday 28th February 2.00-4.00pm at ‘Chimes’, Wakefield Town Hall in Wakefield City Centre.
